Kingstonian boss Tommy Williams has told striker Nathaniel Pinney he will get a first league start for the club sooner rather than later.

The former Crystal Palace hotshot came off the bench to fire a late equaliser at Bognor Regis Town as he did with the winning penalty at Leatherhead last Wednesday.

Pinney, pictured below, arrived in the summer but is yet to play a full 90 minutes for his new club, but Williams knows his new man is happy to bide his time – for now.

“We created enough chances to win two or three football matches at Bognor,” he said.

“On another day Andre [McCollin] would have had five or six goals..

“Nathaniel is being very patient. I know what he is all about. It is a long old season.

“His attitude has been spot on and when he has come on he has done everything asked of him.

“I’m sure it won’t be long until he gets his first start.”

Ks travel to Tonbridge Angels this weekend and, while his side are unbeaten in the Ryman Premier League so far, Williams knows they will be hard pushed to keep that record intact.

“It is good to see we are prepared to work through to 95 minutes,” he added.

“It will be tough game away from home and they will be well up for it.

“We are unbeaten so far, but we are a humble group of lads that want to work hard for each other. We will not be getting carried away.”
