British and Irish Lions head coach Warren Gatland took time out from his preparations for the 2013 tour of Australia by spending a day in the company of Hampton School’s junior rugby players last week.
The New Zealander spent time coaching the school stars as he guided the junior players through a coaching masterclass.
The Wales head coach was working with a film crew from the online rugby channel the Rugby Site to produce a training video that can be watched worldwide.
Hampton School director of rugby Zoran Higgins admitted it was a fantastic opportunity for the boys.
He said: “Getting the chance to be coached by one of the world’s leading rugby coaches does not come around very often – there is no doubt that opportunities like this help to enrich the boys’ rugby education. The boys really enjoyed Warren’s session.”
The video is available on the Rugby Site from next week.
