An arsonist is believed to have set fire to sheds on Valentine’s Day.
Two fire engines were called to the blaze in Woodbridge Avenue, Leatherhead, at about 11.40pm.
A Leatherhead fire station spokesman described the fire as "deliberate" and appealed for anyone with information to contact the police.
He said: "I believe two sheds ended up getting burnt out and their contents as well. The owner did see someone at the bottom of the garden before the fire started."
Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
