Police use sniffer dogs to arrest 'drug driver'
A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug offences this afternoon after being stopped by police and sniffer dogs.
The man was arrested at the Esso petrol station at Shannon Corner in New Malden today at about 5.30pm.
An eyewitness who asked not to be named said: “There were three of them and I saw police put one of them inside the van, a white guy.
“They had the Alsatian dog out at one stage but could not say what was going on.”
A police spokesman said there were no further details of the incident at this stage.
