Senior citizens have been handed cash from the sale of confiscated goods.
The Police Property Act Fund, which is helped by the sale of confiscated stolen goods, donated £1,500 to Sutton senior’s forum.
The senior’s forum provides social integration and interaction for senior citizens, and plans to spend the donation on an extra outing for members to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee.
This is the second consecutive year police have donated to the senior’s forum.
Pauline Hannington, group co-ordinator, said: "The money is extremely welcome. Most charities are finding funding difficult and any donations are much appreciated."
