Kingston police say Twitter has helped its officers to become the most trusted in London.
The latest Metropolitan Police public attitude survey found 79% of Kingstonians believe police are performing ‘well’ or ‘excellently’ with only 4% replying negatively.
Deputy borough commander Bill Heasman said: “Our Twitter following is growing daily and our robust attitude to dealing with anti-social behaviour in partnership with the local authority, sends a clear message to everyone.”
The @MPSKingston account has gained 3,793 followers since starting in February 2012, sending out 2,142 tweets including updates on flooding and arrests.
