Top 5 opinions on driverless cars (drivers and non-drivers):
- The computer could malfunction (46.2 per cent)
- They will be too expensive (45.8 per cent)
- They will cut down speeding (39.7 per cent)
- They will allow everyone to drive, including those with some disabilities (39.5 per cent)
- They will lack human error (37.1 per cent)
34 per cent of people say they would consider buying a self-driving car when they become available, 34 per cent also say they would not and 32 per cent do not know if they would invest in the technology.
