They were on opposite sides in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, but now New Cross acting legend Gary Oldman and Richmond’s Tom Hardy are fighting for justice in a gripping thriller.
The first official trailer has just been released for the Ridley Scott-produced Child 44.
Hardy, who was brought up in East Sheen, plays Russian secret police agent Leo Demidov who works to uncover a serial killer despite the Soviet government trying to squash his investigation.
Former Ruse Bruford student and Oscar nominee Oldman - who played Commissioner Jim Gordon opposite Hardy’s Bane in the Batman flick – is the General who helps Leo track down the killer after he is exiled from Moscow with his wife Raisa (Noomi Rapace).
Based on the book by Tom Rob Smith, Child 44 also stars Charles Dance, Vincent Cassel and Paddy Considine.
Child 44 is out April 17.
