Sheila Hancock attends the opening of the new Quaker centre
Iain Inness Burgess mourns the move by Quakers from town centre to the periphery (September 19). Ed Davey commented at the formal opening of Kingston Quaker Centre that we had moved from a retail location into the community and it certainly feels like that.
In our new home passers-by don’t have their heads down intent on shopping. They move at a more leisurely pace and stop and talk. If you’re interested in the Quaker perspective, come to our Quaker Quest events in Oct/Nov.
