Car crashes into Surbiton shop after failing to stop for police

Two shops, bike shop Cyclopedia and Feedwell cafe, were boarded up by Sunday evening
A car crashed into a shop and a car after failing to stop for police.
The black Volkswagon Golf crashed into the silver Ford Mondeo and a shop in Ewell Road in Surbiton at about 4.38am.
Police said approximately a minute earlier the car had failed to stop for police when indicated to do so close to the junction with Ditton Road.
A spokesman said: "Some shop fronts suffered damage although the circumstances and details of the collision are to be confirmed."
The Golf was being driven by a man believed to be in his mid 20s.
He suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital.
No police officers were injured.
