Bin collections as usual "wherever possible" says Kingston Council
4:15pm Tuesday 3rd August 2010 in Your Say
By David Lindsell
Bin collections will carry on as interrupted as possible, Kingston Council has said.
In a statement to resident the council said: "Veolia, our contractor for all these services, are aware of the phasing schedule for all the works and will aim to ensure that all collections and cleansing continues uninterrupted wherever possible.
"Waste that is missed because it was not available by 7.00am may not be collected until the next scheduled collection day due to access restrictions.
"All refuse should be placed in black bags, as there may be a need for crews to carry the bagged rubbish to the waste collection vehicles when access is restricted."
