Bradley Skeete is looking forward to a big year in 2016 – which includes getting another shot at the British welterweight title.

The 28-year-old from Battersea signed off his successful 2015 campaign with an overwhelming 10 round unanimous decision over Stevie "The Wallasey Express" Williams to retain his WBO European title on Monday at the Hilton Hotel, Mayfair.

The former Earlsfield ABC representative, who now advances to 22 wins in 23 outings, dominated the bout with his stinging jabs and punishing combinations.

“He lived up to his nickname of 'The Wallasey Express' because he kept coming and coming,” said Skeete, who topped Frank Warren’s Nordoff Robbins Charity Fight Night.

“I thought that the referee was going to jump in when I started to land with clean shots and his face was starting to get smashed up, but he stuck in there.”

Skeete now has his sights firmly set at the British title, which is held by Birmingham’s Sam Eggington.

He failed to take the title off former holder Frankie Gavin last year, but is desperate to get another crack at it.

“I’m pleased with the performance and ending the year undefeated with my title, and now I can look towards a big 2016 and that British title,” he added.
