Gauntlett Boxing Club coach Chris Gauntlett praised a deadly duo of fighters after a double header of debut wins.
Josh Pike and Lee Dowling returned from Dorking Halls on Saturday with their first wins under their belts.
Gauntlett, who runs his club out of Epsom, said: “I am so proud of both my boxers, they had well deserved wins in front of a big crowd.”
Middleweight Pike beat John Weston after heavy shots to the head and body in the second round left the referee with no choice but to stop the fight.
Dowling, fighting at light- middleweight, took on Alan Harper over three rounds, after which Dowling was awarded the win on a majority points decision.
Winners: Coaches Gary Daws and Chris Gauntlett flank light middleweight winner Lee Dowling
