BAWFC 2 Brentford Women's 2 (2-5 aet)

British Airways Women's FC came from two goals behind to take Brentford Women's into extra-time in the Middlesex Senior Cup quarter-final game on Sunday.

BAWFC found themselves 2-0 down after just 12 minutes but came battling back in a hard-fought fixture at the BA Concorde Club.

After 30 minutes, they were back in it, scoring from their first corner of the game.

Char Bungaroo's centre was flicked on by winger Nav Johal and Lucy Gibson blasted a shot home from close range.

They came out fired up for the second half and, within five minutes, had their equaliser, a brilliant 20-yard strike from Bungaroo.

Brentford had opportunities to tie up the game in the 90 minutes but a number of last-ditch tackles by centre-back Silmara Sousa and a fine save by newly signed keeper Leanne Knoop kept BAWFC in the game.

With the game all square, the side a division higher showed their class and got a goal early in the first period of extra time.

They added a further two in the second period of extra time after BA were attacking to get a goal back and catching them on the break.

BA meet Hackney at the Concorde Centre this Sunday (2pm).

BA reserves claimed their first win of 2009, a 2-1 triumph over One Wish Ladies in Walthamstow.

They took a 20th-minute lead when striker Julia Steer raced towards goal and blasted the ball past home and great link-up play led to Petra Lausen crossing for Julia Steer to double the scoreline.

Although One Wish pulled a late goal back, BA were good value for their win.
