Head coach Lee Carsley might enjoy returning to one of his old clubs on Saturday, but he will not be letting Blackburn Rovers get anything out of his Brentford side.

The Bees saw their four match winning streak, which featured three clean sheets, ended by a 2-0 defaeat to Hull City at Griffin Park on Tuesday.

Carsley scored 11 goals in 47 league appearances for Rovers, but was unable to stop them dropping out of the Premier League in 1999.

He heads back to Ewood Park with a manager of the month award to show for his and his side's efforts.

And while he is looking forward to returning to familiar territory he wants his men to get back to winning ways by addressing Tuesday's defensive shortcomings.

"I'm looking for a positve response," he said.

"The two goals we conceded were all goals that could have been stopped. We have to take on board the mistakes that were made and learn from them.

"Clean sheets are a massive part of the game. We want to be good to watch and attacking, but ultimately it is about keeping clean sheets.

"You have to make sure you give the defenders a bit of cover and not be kamakazee and attacking. You have to be worried about the space you leave when you run in to space."

He added: "Living in the area I understand the Blackburn fans are passionate about their club.

"The memories I have there aren't great because we got relegated in my time, but they are a club that made me and my family very welcome. I really enjoyed my time there.

"I owe a lot of that to Jack Walker, who played a big part in bringing me to the club."
