Jones hits out at AFC Wimbledon release

Gone: Reece Jones, centre, celebrates scoring for Hampton & Richmond this season
Reece Jones has hit out at Terry Brown's decision to axe him from AFC Wimbledon.
The 19-year was one of 13 players released on Tuesday as manager Brown overhauled the Dons squad after they finished the League Two season with a 3-1 win over Shrewsbury Town at Kingsmeadow.
Jones, recalled from his loan spell at Hampton & Richmond last month, made his Football League debut in that game but was forced off by injury after only 28 minutes, leaving the youngster angry he did not get more chances to prove his worth.
"I'm disappointed of course," he said.
"Terry felt he couldn't give me enough game time and if I went elsewhere I could get more but I feel I could have got it at Wimbledon.
"Obviously, you want to play as much as you can and I haven't been - I did the hard bit and but never got that chance.
"I think I deserved it and needed some game time to show what I could do.
"Then, if I had done bad I would accept it but with no chance we will never know.
"When I was at Hampton & Richmond it was the first time I had been properly fit and the first time I have had a successive run of games in 10 years.
"I thought I showed everyone what I could do and to come back and sit on the bench was frustrating.
"Terry brought me back to play me and that never happened."
Hampton's relegation from the Blue Square South means Jones is unlikely to rejoin the Beavers as he keep his options open with a view to showing he can cut in the Football League.
"The aim is to prove myself in the Football League," he said.
"I am not going to rush into anything though and I am happy to take the summer off and wait."
