An influx of new faces has manager Mark Williams confident Raynes Park Vale will challenge for top honours in the Combined Counties Premier Division this season.
Experienced keeper Dean Banks and former Chessington and Corinthian Casuals winger Lee Brownford bring class to the squad, while James Richards, Asa Rixon Nichols, Artur Stala and Mark Accardi are bright prospects from whom Williams believes he can get the best.
Another boost is the return of 2007-08 player of the season, David Mosley. A 2-1 pre-season friendly defeat to Ryman League Premier Division side Kingstonian shows Vale are heading in the right direction.
"Williams said: “The players have responded really well to the tough program they have been put through.
"In terms of fitness, I am hoping that we will be up there with the top sides in the league.”
