Freddie Sears made it two goals in two games for Crystal Palace last night as the Eagles kept up their 100 pre cent record in pre-season with a 3-1 win over Harrisburg City Islanders in America.
The young striker, on loan from West Ham, collected a neat flick from fellow new signing Darren Ambrose and fired into the bottom corner from 20 yards to give Palace the lead midway through the first half.
Ambrose himself then got on the scoresheet with a curling free-kick before Neil Danns headed home substitute Danny Butterfield's cross for a 3-0 half-time lead.
Manager Neil Warnock made several changes at the break, with only Matt Lawrence, in for Jose Fonte in the only change from the line-up that started Monday's win over Crystal Palace USA, playing the full 90 minutes.
Harrisburg pulled a goal back through Reuben Swartzendruber before the end but the Eagles have now scored 12 goals in three pre-season games.
Palace: Julian Speroni (Darryl Flahavan), Nathanial Clyne (Danny Butterfield), Paddy McCarthy (Jose Fonte), Matt Lawrence, Clint Hill (Lee Hills), Shaun Derry (Allessane N'Diaye), Neil Danns (Nick Carle), Darren Ambrose (Johnny Ertl), Victor Moses (Shaun Scannell), Alan Lee (James Comley), Freddie Sears (Kieron Cadogan).
