Sutton United will welcome Premier League opposition to Gander Green Lane on Tuesday to officially open the new 3G pitch.

A Crystal Palace XI has agreed to take on Paul Doswell’s new-look United (kick-off 7.45pm) side as the build up to the new National League South season continues.

Guests on the day may include Palace legends Ian Wright and Mark Bright.

However, there will be guests from Sutton Common Rovers and AFC Wimbledon Ladies, who will both be playing home games at Gander Green Lane in the coming season.

Also present will be members of the Sutton United community football team and the club's girls' U11s.

The girls swept all before them with the treble of the Surrey League, Surrey League Cup and London Capital Cup last season, and they will be playing an exhibition five-a-side game at half time.

Home friendlies have also been arranged against Welling United (July 25, 3pm) and Bromley (August 1, 3pm).

Admission for those games is £8 for adults, £4 for concessions and £1 for juniors - season tickets are valid.
