Rob Scantlebury knows what his Carshalton Athletic side have to do in order to turn round their recent poor form on the road.

The Robins have lost three in a row in their travels, and  they go to Faversham Town on Saturday hoping to stop the rot.

Faversham are second in Ryman Division One South, but have lost three of their past five games.

Scantlebury said: “The last few games have been disappointing but we can turn it round. We’ve got to refocus and go into games keeping things simple.

“Confidence is high and the team is raring to go and play, we want to go out on the pitch and do what we’re good at and that’s playing attacking football.”

Scantlebury’s hopes will be boosted by having the luxury of having a nearly completely full squad to pick from.

Paris Hamilton-Downes is the only long term injury the side have to contend with and Scantlebury hopes this can give them an extra edge heading in to Saturday’s game.

He said: “Over the past couple of games we’ve had to contend with a couple of injuries.

“We had four or five players missing against Hythe and, although we played well we ended up losing 2-1.

“Against Guernsey, we had to pretty much put a different side and, again, although we played well we ended up losing.

“We should have a full strength squad going into this next game and that’s going to help restore confidence.”
