Toby Pallet came from behind to win his first senior singles title with a 1-6 6-1 6-1 victory over James Hart at Purley Bury Tennis Club’s finals.
Another U25 player, Amy Farrin, pipped Kelly Rowland 5-7 6-1 8-6 in a thrilling ladies’ singles final.
Hart took two doubles titles, partnering Alastair Horsford to surprise holders Mark Love and John Thistlewaite 7-5 6-4 in the men’s doubles, and teaming up with Joanna Levitt to beat Horsford and Jill Farrin 6-2 4-6 6-4 in the mixed doubles.
In the ladies’ doubles, junior U18 singles finalists Lydia Fernandes and Joanna Levitt teamed up to beat the mother and daughter pairing of Jill and Amy Farrin 6-4 4-6 6-3.
Harrison Walden, 14, won the U18 boys singles title.
Entries for the tournaments were the higest ever following coaching sessions held at the club by Greg Rusedski in May.
Nine-times Purley Bury men’s singles champion Andrew Wright presented the cups.
Club chairman Alan Browne: “It’s so encouraging for the future of the club.
“Four of the senior finals went to three sets so it won’t be a one-year wonder.
“And watching the juniors you couldn’t but be impressed by their behaviour on court, never mind the high standard of their hitting.
“They were a great credit to themselves, their parents and Mark Love’s coaching team."
