Never mind the return of Andre McCollin, Kingstonian assistant manager Graham Harper says goalkeeper Rob Tolfrey is the club's real hero, writes Stuart Amos.

McCollin’s quickfire double gave Ks a 2-1 win over Wingate & Finchley on Monday night, to take his tally to five goals in three league games since arriving at Kingsmeadow.

Ks have won their past four games in all competitions, but Harper believes it might have been a different story had Tolfrey not been between the sticks.

Surrey Comet:

I've got it: Rob Tolfrey doing what he does best between the sticks for Kingstonian

“You talk about Andre’s goals and the lift he has given us, but I cannot tell you how good some of Rob's saves were in the second half,” he said.

“He has done it on numerous occasions for us before. He made some unbelievable saves – world class.

“He deserves the praise because he works so hard and is so professional.

"He is reaping the rewards.”
