More than 30 Croydon Harriers were in action at the Will Bolton Memorial cross-country relays on Saturday at Sparrows Den.

The men’s A team finished 14th in the 4x4km event out of 52 teams that closed in.

Simon Loughran was 35th fastest overall (14 minutes 29 seconds), with Alan Burn (49th, 15:24), Neil Aikman (75th, 16:05) and Colin Oxlade (114th, 17:06) completing the line-up.

The women’s team finished ninth overall in their race thanks to Anna Corby (184th, 20:07), Naomi Carty (155th, 18:26), Stevie Lawrence (96th, 16:42) and Jules Williams (198th, 22:20).

The B team of James Moore (94th, 16:39), Dane Lawrence (104th, 16:50), Matthew Kiernan (111th, 17:04) and Oliver Hosken (145th, 18:14) finished 25th overall.

Meanwhile, the mixed team of Eric Campbell, Isobel Harrington, Keith Brown and Andy Del Nevo were 52nd.

In young athlete ranks, the U15 boys finished seventh overall thanks to Jordan O’Dongo, Neal Kesterson and Isaac Flanagan, who was fifth fastest individually.

The girls' trio of Jessica Moore, Saarah Nawaz and Megan Driver finished fifth.

In the U13 boys' race, Jake Cork, Douglas Aikman and Krishiv Malik were sixth and their female counterparts of Kyra Sethna-McIntosh, Leanne Moore and Sasha Howard were one place lower in seventh.

At the Surrey Combined Events Championships at Sutton Arena, Atlanta Drummond won gold in the U20 women’s steeplechase.

Cassandra Howard enjoyed the club’s highest finish in a multi-event placing sixth in the U13 girl’s pentathlon.

Theo Flanagan was 10th in the U13 boys' equivalent, and coach James Eccles was 10th in the decathlon with a tally of 4,255pts.

In the relays, the U13 boys' team of Aidann Fletcher, Zola Dotting, Rohan Butler Kowlessar, Reshayne Bailey finished fifth in the 4x200m, and fourth in the 4x100m.

At the Bristol half-marathon, Alex Penfold clocked one hour 18:39 for 71st.
