Teddington Swimming Club swimmers Sophie Fussell, Anna Smail and Teo Bainbridge claimed a gold and three silver medals at the 65th English Schools Inter-Divisional Championships last weekend.

Lady Eleanor Holles School pupil Fussell, 13, was crowned English Schools’ 100m breaststroke champion, taking first place in one minute 16.06 seconds, before going on to take 200m breaststroke silver in 2:46.35.

Waldegrave School’s Smail, 13, took silver in the 100m freestyle (1:00.62) and then was again second in the 200m freestyle (2:09.06), missing gold by tenths of a second in both races.

Orleans Park School’s Bainbridge was sixth in the 100m breaststroke (1:17.56) as the trio help London finish fifth out of eight regions at the Sunderland Aquatic Centre.
