AFC Wimbledon have signed QPR midfielder Frankie Sutherland on a month’s loan.

The 21-year-old will go straight into the League Two squad to face Northampton Town this weekend.

He will also be available for the FA Cup and Johnstone’s Paint Trophy trips to York City and Bristol City respectively.

Sutherland, 20, joined the Rs as a trainee in July 2012, and has spent time with Leyton Orient and Portsmouth.

Boss Neal Ardley told Dons Player: “Frankie is a player we have monitored for the last six months, since he came back from his injury.

“He is a strong, combative midfielder, an intelligent passer of the ball and we have seen his fitness and influence on games grow throughout the season.

“He will be an excellent addition.”

Sutherland’s arrival follows hard on the heels of Harry Pell’s one-month loan move to Grimsby Town, announced yesterday (Wednesday).
