Wimbledon RFC’s first team manager James Ogilvie-Bull wants his side to go into the break in action having recorded a seventh win of the season.

The Dons go to Twickenham on Saturday lying second in London Division One South following an emphatic 51-14 win over Chobham last weekend.

With leaders Sidcup travel to third-placed Guildford, the Dons could go into the international break on top the tree.

However, Bully will be happy to have a win under their belt at the very least.

“We’ve not played Twickenham for three years, so we’ve watched them and sometimes they play well, sometimes they don’t,” he said.

“All we can do is concentrate on ourselves, not take anything for granted and go into the break in a good place.

“We made a real statement by beating Chobham, who were fourth in the table, last weekend and it is vital that we keep that going.”

He added: “The good start to the season is down to a lot of things just clicking into place.

“The guys are looking at the league and saying it is ours for the taking if we want it.

“Nick [Easter] and Tim [Payne] have been brilliant coaches and the guys have responded well.

“We get good numbers at training, and the guys know they have to put in a real shift in training and on match day because the competition for places is immense.”

Wimbledon take a fully fit squad to Twickenham.
