From 12th to 15th July, five students from Tiffin School, enjoyed a unique learning experience sponsored by and held at Aston University. The group of nearly fifty 16 and 17 year old students spent four days on campus as they tackled a variety of practical design-and-build projects which explored the fascinating world of energy generation and distribution.

From 12th to 15th July, Josh Thakrar, student from Tiffin School, benefited from a unique hands-on learning experience at the University of Portsmouth. This four-day residential programme was organised by The Smallpeice Trust and sponsored by The University of Portsmouth to provide nearly one hundred 13/14 year old students with the opportunity to learn about engineering through a series of presentations and practical hands-on workshops.

From 5th to 8th July, Matthew Elmore, Alex Hawkings, Alexander Strange and Jordan Turner, students at Tiffin School, benefited from a unique hands-on learning experience at Oxford Brookes University. This popular four-day residential programme was organised by The Smallpeice Trust in partnership with Oxford Brookes University.

From 5th to 8th July, Mark Mitchinson, Ian Sipin and Timothy Smith, students from Tiffin School, were given a rare insight into the exciting and dynamic field of nanotechnology. During the four-day course organised by The Smallpeice Trust in partnership with the University of Leeds, thirty 15/16 year old students enjoyed a unique opportunity to learn first-hand about this revolutionary science.
