A woman has been rushed to hospital after her car smashed into the central reservation at Tolworth roundabout this evening.
The incident took place at around 5.30pm, with surrounding roads needing to be closed for up to an hour.
The woman had to be pulled from the car wreckage by firefighters but her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
There were no other cars involved, police confirmed.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “We were called to reports of a car that had gone into the central reservation on Tolworth roundabout.
"An air ambulance team attended the scene and she was taken to hospital after firefighters attended the scene.
“She was breathing and conscious at the scene and her injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing."
