Rare Gruffalo spotted in Kingston department store

Proof that there IS such thing as a Gruffalo was provided when the fearsome monster turned up for a children’s storytelling session in Kingston.
The furry character stood by as children and their parents sat in the children’s wear department of John Lewis Kingston to hear his tale, read by Kelly Smith.
The creature is one of the most popular children's characters after starring in a series of books by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.
He has even starred on stage at the Rose Theatre and will be back for The Gruffalo's Child between March 14 and 17.
The Rose is opening a seven day a week ticket office inside John Lewis between the toy department and the restaurant to attract more punters.
