Two taken to hospital after A3 triple smash
Two people were taken to hospital following a major crash along the A3 this morning after a car stopped in the middle lane.
Four vehicles - an orange Peugeot, a white DAF box van, a silver Toyota Prius and a silver A3 Audi - were all involved in the pile up at around 5am.
A spokeswoman from Surrey Police said: "It appears that the driver of the Peugeot became stationary in the middle lane and was then hit by the three other vehicles.
"Two people from the Toyota Prius were taken to St Peter's Hospital suffering chest and limb injuries."
One lane was closed southbound due to the crash and the recovery works.
All of the roads were fully open by 8.29am.
