Mum's the word with Angellica Bell: What a week for Kingston

What an exciting Olympic week it has been for Kingston, with the cycling races weaving their way through the royal borough.
We certainly know how to put on a show and I have to say this sport malarkey is quite contagious.
This week alone I have tried dragon boat racing, run 6km and even completed a hard cycle session in the gym – well it’s the nearest I’m going to get to a medal.
Now Elijah has also got into the spirit of it too – he has so much energy at the moment.
It is like he is on a frenzied mission, off exploring well before I have time to say ‘on your marks’.
He is now seven months old and, as I have been informed, this is the time he hits the inquisitive stage and wants to know everything that is going on.
I can say this is indeed true and my son is definitely a busy boy.
I sit him on his play mat, but in no time at all he ends up on his tummy, frustrated because he has tried to reach for my slippers on the other side of the room instead of playing with his toys in front him.
Also gone are the days he would quietly sit on the sofa and wait for his bottle – if I turn my back he is either reaching for the remote to sink his now four little teeth into it, or deciding whether or not to jump off, with a big smile on his face of course.
I like the fact he wants to know about the world around him and it is only a matter of time before my walls will be covered in crayon marks and I have to child proof the entire house.
So it is a good job I have caught the Olympic bug and started to raise my energy levels because in no time I will be chasing my son around the supermarket and he will be the one going for gold.
