A body has been found in a wooded area of Latchmere recreation ground in Kingston.
A body has been found in a wooded area of Latchmere recreation ground in Kingston.
The recreation ground was taped off this morning as police patrolled the area.
Police are understood to be treating the discovery as a suspected suicide.
A workman who asked not to be named said: “We were just told it’s a 60-year-old woman hanged.
"We just saw the body covered, a van came and took the body.”
Another resident said he had talked to the police.
He was a dog walker who said: “The police said to me it’s a lady found dead. I am gobsmacked, I have been here for four years, it’s very sad.”
