A whacky community fundraising group celebrated Surbiton’s Freshwater Sardine Festival on Sunday.
These giant guinea pigs were part of the bizarre procession that ended in St Andrews Square.
Nearly 100 mostly rational rainswept Surbiton folk huddled for shelter to celebrate the unusual spectacle and the day was rounded off with a barbecue and original Seething Folk Music.
