A woman has been arrested in connection with the fire which devastated a Kingston tower block yesterday.
The 32-year-old was held after the blaze, at the Cambridge Road estate, which began at around 4.45pm.
Around 100 firefighters battled the blaze, which tore through the top four floors and the roof of the 15-storey Madingley block.
Police said they were treating the fire as "suspicious".
Residents living in the block were evacuated and taken to the nearby Piper Community Hall, while others stayed with relatives.
A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade said: "The cause of the fire will be investigated as soon as it is safe to do so.
"It's not yet known what caused the fire."
It is understood noone was injured in the blaze.
