A teenager from Kingston has won the Surrey heat of Miss England, securing herself a place in the semi-finals.
Kirstyn Luton, 17, attended the heat at London Quayside on May 24 onboard a Southern Belle vessel with other hopefuls.
Travelling along the Thames, the girls had to catwalk to music while judges watched. They were then questioned by the judges, who included current Miss England Lance Corporal Kat Hodge.
Miss Luton said: “Winning Miss Kingston has been a great experience and I’m really looking forward to the Miss England semifinals.”
The local heat and event was organised by Angelic Rebels, that is gearing up for the opening of its new shop in Crown Arcade, Union Street, Kingston, in June, when Katie Price will attend for a special signing.
Runners up Cynthia Enzenmuller and Stephanie Humphries, both from Guildford, were given Angelic Rebels sashes.
Miss Luton will attend the semifinals on June 14.
