Cycling great and three-times Tour de France winner Chris Froome will whizz through Kingston this weekend as part of the Prudential RideLondon series.

Race organisers confirmed today that the British cyclist, who won his third Tour de France on Saturday, will compete in the Classic race this Sunday as preparation for the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio de Janerio.

The race’s 200km route means that Froome, 31, and his fellow Sky teammates will ride through Kingston town centre before crossing Hampton Court Bridge into Surrey.
