Eighties pop phenomenon Rick Astley will roll into Kington this week with an intimate instore set at Banquet Records.
The pop-icon is performing at the Eden Street store on Thursday to promote his new album- his first release in a decade.
Most recently the East Molesey native has been playing occasional gigs with band The Luddites whose repertoire include covers of classic 70s punk songs by The Clash, The Sex Pistols and The Undertones.
He even performed at the Rose Theatre in December last year with proceeds from the gig going to Prostate Cancer UK.
Astley's most famous hit was introduced to a new generation through an internet prank known as Rickrolling, which involved the unexpected appearance of the Never Gonna Give You Up music video when clicking on an unrelated video.
Banquet owner Jon Tolley said: “Why not? Rick is a legend.
"His new album has a real shot at being number one and we can’t wait to have him in. He's never gonna give up.”
Tickets for the 6pm gig cost £10 and include a CD. They go onsale tomorrow at 11am. See banquetrecords.com for more information.
