Pop punk legends Blink-182 are set to play an exclusive acoustic set in Kingston.

The Californian trio, who have sold more than 35 million albums worldwide, will take to the stage in the unlikely setting of the Rose Theatre on Tuesday, June 7.

The festival headliners, known for their hits All the Small Things, What’s My Age Again? and I Miss You, were dubbed the “most influential punk band of the 1990s” by the New York Times.

Band members Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus and Matt Skiba are in the UK preparing to release California – Blink’s first album in five years.

The band will make their way to Kingston for the 9pm gig organised by Banquet Records straight after recording a session for Radio 1’s Live Lounge.

Banquet owner Jon Tolley said: “This has been top secret. It really is huge for us. Blink-182 are usually headlining things like Reading Festival so to have them is Kingston is a really big deal.”

Tickets are only available over the counter at Banquet Records in Eden Street and go on sale on Friday at 6pm.
