A Chessington care home is hosting an open day for residents to hear stories from staff and encourage more visitors.
Firs Court, in Hook Road, Chessington, is hosting the open day on Friday, June 17 as part of National Care Open Day, a drive launched to promote care services across the country.
Having opened in 2012, Firs Court is now home to 22 service users and tenants. It is run by Surbiton-based charity the Fircroft Trust.
Richard Weir, manager at Firs Court, said: "This is a great way to show the excellent services on offer and the fantastic work that goes on at Firs Court.
“Some people still have misconceptions about care homes so we are keen to dispel any myths and for people to come and have a look around, meet the staff and our service users and tenants.”
