A man was crushed when a wall collapsed onto him.
The man - believed to in his forties – was treated for chest and hip injuries before being taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting. An air ambulance was also called and landed nearby.
Paramedics were called to Manor Way, Worcester Park, at 10.40am on Wednesday, February 3, to reports of a wall collapsing.
A spokesman for London Ambulance said: “We sent a number of resources to the scene including an advanced paramedic, the hazardous area response team (HART) and London's Air Ambulance.
“He was taken as a priority to St George's Hospital, Tooting, a major trauma centre, escorted by the doctor from London's Air Ambulance.”
Doug Curwen, of Manor Way, said: “They had been there about a fortnight, there were two of them working there. He had an 8ft wall lying across his head and chest.
“There must have been in total about 30 police and ambulance crews out, people around here actually thought they had a bomb in the garden or something.”
