Four men who were allegedly responsible for a town centre attack that forced a Kingston nightclub to temporarily close have appeared in court.
French nationals Sebastian Legendre and Floren Zirah were attacked at 2am outside TK Maxx in Clarence Street on October 19 by a group of men who had allegedly been drinking in the Viper Rooms.
Jay Beer of, David Twigg Close, who is related to the club’s manager Luis Beer, the bar’s former glass collector Scott Nicholls, 21, of Richmond Park Road, Nathan Peardon, 23, of School Lane and Scott Moodie, 28, from Hammersmith have all been charged with actual bodily harm.
Mr Peardon and Mr Beer have also been charged with affray and Mr Moodie with criminal damage.
All four indicated pleas of not guilty when they appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
They will appear at Kingston Crown Court on November 17.
The Viper Rooms was closed for three days after the fight and Kingston Council’s licensing committee allowed the bar to temporarily reopen last Wednesday with 14 conditions attached to its licence.
A full licensing review hearing will decide on the club’s future on November 12.
