Redevelopment proposals will be set out next week to turn the CSG Amersham garage, Old Amersham, into high-quality assisted living apartments.

Facilities at the apartment would include a 24 hours a day on-site care team, guest accommodation and a restaurant offering a cooked meal 365 days a year.

Developers McCarthy and Stone say that the designs have drawn heavily on the Georgian heritage of the town and borrowed many of the architectural features of other properties in the area.

Ali Maruf, Regional Managing Director for McCarthy and Stone, said: “This is a great opportunity to obtain feedback on our scheme so that we can ensure that it will complement Amersham’s character.

“Our plans will improve local housing choice and deliver a high-quality, attractive development that will allow people to retain independence and fulfilment during their retirement in a safe environment.”

A public exhibition for local residents will take place on Wednesday October 14th between 3-7pm in the Alfred Ellis Hall, Amersham Free Church, Woodside Road, Amersham.
