Meet Sibe, the potential ancestor of a brand-new European bloodline for her species.

The three-year-old fossa has been transported from the USA to Chessington World of Adventures, and will be introduced to Sambara, a male fossa that already lives at the zoo.

Fossas, naturally solitary animals, are related to mongooses, and hail from Madagascar where they are listed as a vulnerable species because of deforestation and hunting.

Sibe will be introduced to eight-year-old Sambara in the spring of 2016.
