Ghostly ghouls will greet runners in the first Trick or Treat Run London this year.

The new Halloween-inspired event hosted by Chessington-based Human Race will include a 2k, 5k or 10k run through Richmond Park.

Fancy dress will be encouraged with eerie zones such as scary skeletons, zany zombies and wicked witches set up along the off-road route for all ages on November 1.

Nick Rusling, chief executive at Human Race, said: “Halloween is a fun time of year and we want to use the elements people love about that to help keep them active throughout the year.

“Richmond Park is an astoundingly good venue and we are delighted that it will host the inaugural Trick or Treat Run London. I promise it will be great fun but runners should beware as we have a few hair-raising surprises up our sleeves too.”

Breast Cancer Care is the official Trick or Treat Run London charity partner for the first such event.

Prizes will also be on offer for the best costumes on the day.
