Police are hunting an Audi driver and a moped rider who smashed a grandmother’s wing mirror as she drove through Kingston town centre.
The woman was driving along Wood Street with her granddaughter at about 9am on Tuesday when the smash-and-run incident took place, police said.
A Kingston police spokesman said: “A black Audi A3 drove up the inside of her vehicle, opened the driver’s window and punched her nearside wing mirror.
“The vehicle then drove ahead, which allowed a black moped to come up.
“The rider of this moped then used an object to smash her wing mirror again, causing it to fall off.
“The female tried to get the registration number of the Audi A3. However, it was too far in front.
“She then looked at the moped; however, the number plate was covered by a piece of paper.
“The female fears that the two vehicles were working together and she has done nothing to be a target.”
