Two north Kingston schools have warned parents to stay vigilant following separate reports of men acting suspiciously close by.
Both Latchmere School in Latchmere Road and Fern Hill Primary School in Richmond Road have emailed parents telling them to be aware of anyone acting suspiciously.
An email from Fern Hill School sent to parents today said: “A child from a neighbouring school was approached by a man in a white van.
“Please can you all reinforce with your children the importance of being safe and not engaging with strangers.”
Julie Ritchie, headteacher of Latchmere School, also emailed parents yesterday following a visit from police officers. She said: “Police officers have just been into school to say that one of our parents has reported seeing a man they consider to be acting strangely outside the school grounds.
“Police would like all parents to be aware of this.”
