A pedestrian who was fatally injured by a van in a country lane has now been named as Louisa Clare Gammie, 39.
It is believed that Ms Gammie, who police say was from Worcester Park, was hit while jogging along Old Malden Lane, Worcester Park, just after 11am on Saturday, November 8.
She was airlifted to hospital with head injuries but died the following day. An inquest into her death has been opened and adjourned.
A 34-year-old man, from Surbiton, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and also dangerous driving.
Driver Alfred Kovaci, 38, called the police and rushed to help her after she was hit by a black Primastar Nissan van.
"I was thinking fingers crossed she’s going to survive," he said. "It’s very, very sad."
The van driver has been released on bail until January 8 as the investigation continues.
