A Hollywood thriller starring Kevin Costner, Ryan Reynolds, Gary Oldman and Tommy Lee Jones is being filmed this week in a quiet residential road in Kingston.

But movie fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the A-listers will have to first outfox the film's security guards.

Kings Road is currently closed to the public while scenes for upcoming Ariel Vromen movie Criminal are shot.

The thriller stars Kevin Costner as a dangerous criminal who is implanted with the memories and skills of a dead CIA operative. Ryan Reynolds, Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee Jones and Alice Eve also star in the picture.

This afternoon Costner was reportedly seen getting his face powdered and filming a scene walking into house wearing a hoody.

Filming began about a week ago - and Kings Road residents have enjoyed having Hollywood on their doorstep.

Surrey Comet:

Filming in Kings Road has been going on all week

One Kings Road resident who did not want to be named, said: "They keep delivering things to my door by mistake.

"They must have got the address wrong or something. But it's quite fun."

Surrey Comet:

The set is being heavily guarded to prevent members of the public sneaking in or taking photos

Another said: "I don't find it disruptive.

"Some residents have been complaining they can't bring their cars all the way up but I've enjoyed having the road closed.

"The kids are cycling around. It's been fun."

But those not lucky enough to live in the street have not received quite the same freedoms - as this video by our photographer shows.

So tight is the security around the set, security guards resorted to standing in front of one man's camera as he tried to take pictures of the filming.

Meanwhile nearby Park Road resident Jerry Ford, former landlord of the Richmond Park Tavern, said the road closure was proving a nuisance.

He said: "My wife has been affected.

"She is a nurse and has a client in New Road - but there is nowhere for her to park.

"She has to park a long way away and walk because of the closure."
