A cyclist who died after being hit by a car has been named as New Malden man Laurent Patrick Cullinan, known as Patrick.
Mr Cullinan, 25, died on Saturday morning after being hit by a driver in a Honda Accord at 12.45am in Kingston Road, close to the junction with Bushey Road in Raynes Park.
He died nine hours later in hospital.
The driver of the car, a 32-year-old man, who stopped, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He has been bailed until September.
A postmortem examination into Mr Cullinan’s death is soon to take place.
