A Hook man accused of striking Mark Haley, causing his eventual death two years later, is expected to enter a plea at the Old Bailey later this year.
Michael Broom, 49, of Rhodrons Avenue, will appear at the Old Bailey on September 22 charged with the manslaughter of Mark Haley.
Mr Haley, a 51-year-old BT engineer who lived in nearby Holmwood Road, was airlifted to hospital on August 21, 2011, with serious head injuries from outside Tesco in Hook Parade, near Chessington.
Prosecutors allege the attack on Mr Haley led to his death two years later. He eventually died at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability in Putney in August 2013.
